Yesterday, when I was comparing the extreme market conditions of Perpdex, I was very dissatisfied with the LP treasury yield of @edgeX_exchange, as the eLP's daily yield of 0.48% seemed very out of place compared to the nearly 10% yield of @HyperliquidX HLP.
Just as I was about to withdraw funds from eLP with my buddies, I happened to see @ruiixyz reply to my tweet saying that the calculation of EdgeX's eLP would be delayed by a day due to the time period, so it’s best to wait a bit.
Looking at it today, the daily yield is 3.08%, and putting 1M in there for a day earns 30,800. Although it’s not as much as HLP, compared to my friends who switched from eLP to Lighter LLP, I’m still quite lucky.
The worst part is a big friend of mine who followed me into mining. He didn’t pay attention to my tweet yesterday and, seeing the yield of 0.48%, angrily withdrew all his money 💰 from eLP. Now he’s missing out on the meat 🍖 today, truly a case of tears without a cry.
To be fair, the average eLP yield over the week is still quite good; HLP only had a high yield yesterday. Various Perpdex LPs are betting against retail investors, and in the long run, retail investors always lose, so the yield is still decent.
However, there can occasionally be black swan events, like this wave with lighter. Everyone should do their own research when managing finances; indeed, there’s no place that is completely risk-free and guaranteed to profit.

When the real extreme market conditions come, that's when you know who isn't wearing swim trunks. A simple recap of last night's battle in the Perpdex war without personal investment portfolio biases:
@Lighter_xyz had the biggest issue, unable to place orders normally since last night, and still cannot withdraw funds, with Llp down 10%.
@Backpack encountered some minor issues, with order delays during the volatile market. Some reported their positions disappearing and then reappearing, while others said they were liquidated but the coins returned to their accounts, seemingly with more. Everything has returned to normal now.
@Aster_DEX hasn't seen anyone report issues on the trading side, but without a treasury, it's hard to compare savings returns.
@edgeX_exchange didn't seem to have any operational issues, but the treasury yield is only 0.48%. Although it's still profitable, it doesn't quite match the massive liquidation volume in the market.
@tradeparadex and @extendedapp had minor issues, but their treasury yields exceeded 10%.
@HyperliquidX performed the best, not only without delays, but the HLP treasury made a profit of 40 million dollars in a single day, far surpassing the total of all other competitors combined, with returns exceeding 10% for those investing in it.
